How does Album QR work?

From QR code to a full photo album — three simple steps

What is Album QR?

Album QR is a modern tool for collecting photos from event guests using a QR code. Whether you're organizing a wedding, birthday, corporate event, or family trip — Album QR lets you gather all photos in one place. Guests don't need to install any app or create an account. They simply scan the QR code with their phone camera, select photos, and upload them. Photos go directly to your Google Drive in original quality.

Step 1: Create your album

Registration takes literally a minute. You choose a unique address for your album, e.g., my-event.albumqr.io. Configure settings — event name, dates, gallery background. The system automatically generates a QR code linked to your album. You can download it in high resolution, ready for printing on invitations, posters, or table cards. The album is instantly connected to your Google Drive account — photos will go to a dedicated folder.

Step 2: Share the QR code with guests

Print the QR code and place it visually — on wedding tables, at the entrance, on an information board. You can also share it digitally via message, email, or invitation. Guests scan the code with their phone camera (iPhone and Android) — the browser opens with the album gallery. No app download needed, no login, no account creation. Works on any smartphone with a camera and web browser.

Step 3: Collect photos automatically

After scanning the QR code, guests see an upload button. They select photos from their phone gallery or take new ones — and upload with a single tap. Photos appear in the album in real time. You see them immediately in the admin panel and on Google Drive. You can view the gallery live, e.g., display it on a projector during the event. Smart background compression makes uploading fast even on weak Wi-Fi.

Why Album QR instead of traditional methods?

Traditional ways of collecting event photos have many drawbacks. Album QR eliminates them all:

  • WhatsApp groups compress photos and they get lost in chat — Album QR preserves original quality and organizes photos automatically
  • People promise "I'll send them tomorrow" and forget — with Album QR they upload during the event, in the moment
  • USB drives get lost, hard drives break — Album QR saves photos to Google Drive, always safe and accessible
  • Google Photos requires an account and setup — Album QR needs no login, works immediately after scanning
  • Photos scattered across 50 guests' phones — Album QR collects everything in one Drive folder
